QCD sum rules for nucleons in nuclear matter.

چکیده
Two new QCD sum rules for nucleons in nuclear matter are obtained from a mixed correlator of spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 interpolating fields. These new sum rules, which are insensitive to the poorly known four-quark condensates, provide additional information on the nucleon scalar self-energy. These new sum rules are analyzed along with previous spin-1/2 interpolator-based sum rules which are also insensitive to the poorly known four-quark condensates. The analysis indicates consistency with the expectations of relativistic nuclear phenomenology at nuclear matter saturation density. However, a weaker density dependence near saturation is suggested. Using previous estimates of in-medium condensate uncertainties, we find M = 0.64 −0.09 GeV and Σv = 0.29 +0.06 −0.10 GeV at nuclear matter saturation density. New Qcd Sum Rules for In-medium Nucleons
New QCD sum rules for nucleons in nuclear matter are derived from a mixed correlation function of spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 interpolating fields. These sum rules allow a determination of the scalar self-energy of the nucleon independent of the poorly known four-quark condensates. An analysis of these new sum rules in concert with previous nucleon sum rules from spin-1/2 interpolators indicates cons...
متن کاملCompatibility of QCD sum-rules and Hadron field theory in a dense medium
The compatibility of the QCD sum rules and effective hadronic models predictions are examined. For this purpose we have considered the results for the nucleon selfenergy in a dense hadronic environment provided by two independent QCD sumrules calculations. They are immersed in a theory of hadronic fields giving rise to non-linear interactions, whose vertices are parameterized in different ways....
متن کاملQCD sum rules for ∆ isobar in nuclear matter
The self-energies of ∆ isobar propagating in nuclear matter are calculated using the finite-density QCD sum-rule methods. The calculations show that the Lorentz vector self-energy for the ∆ is significantly smaller than the nucleon vector self-energy. The magnitude of the ∆ scalar self-energy is larger than the corresponding value for the nucleon, which suggests a strong attractive net self-ene...
متن کاملExploring the nucleus in the context of low-energy QCD
These lecture notes address a central problem of theoretical nuclear physics: how to establish a relationship between low-energy, non-perturbative QCD and nuclear phenomenology which includes both nuclear matter and finite nuclei. We develop a microscopic covariant description of nuclear many-body dynamics constrained by chiral symmetry and in-medium QCD sum rules. A relativistic pointcoupling ...

We derive a microscopic relativistic point-coupling model of nuclear many-body dynamics constrained by in-medium QCD sum rules and chiral symmetry. The effective Lagrangian is characterized by density dependent coupling strengths, determined by chiral oneand two-pion exchange and by QCD sum rule constraints for the large isoscalar nucleon self-energies that arise through changes of the quark co...
